December Speedie nr. 2 by Viccolatte December Speedie nr. 2 by Viccolatte
Aaand second study for the December speed paint challenge :iconsparkyyy: hosts.:)

Again done in exactly two hours in Photoshop. Was harder this time to get all details rendered out. Messed up in loads places but the colors were fun to work with:nod:

My perception has the cigarette as the focal point because of it's brightness in relation to the rest, though I'm pretty sure it's her eyes most people would be drawn to. I think it's beautiful.

Critique:

Amazing. Drop dead amazing. I'm not even kidding, I write critiques all of the time (if I see the person is requesting a critique, I will write them one) and this must be the easiest critique I've ever written, seriously. Usually I have to tell the person their work is lacking in some area or something they can improve on. For you, I don't have to do that.

I thought that it was the actual picture when I first saw it. When I flipped back to see the original picture, I didn't even see any differences at first. I had to study then. Only then did I notice that the face was slightly thinner in yours, and even then, it doesn't affect the quality of the picture in any way. And the fact that you did this in two hours is even more impressive.

In my honest opinion, you made her look better. The picture still has that grainy feel to it despite the smoother edges to it. I really like this work.

So thank you for making my critique so easy to write. And thank you for producing lovely art like this. Please do not be offended if I do not write a critique on the rest of your speed paints - I really don't think I have any constructive criticism for you whatsoever.

She is so realistic, its almost like she is staring into you, trying to communicate with you!

This looks exactly like the photo. The only difference is that you drew this a little to the right of the screen and her expression seems a bit more set/determined in your version (though I can't pinpoint where the shift originates). O_O Amazing.
